The Hotel Excelsior Belgrade has brand-new refurbished guest rooms and is located in the very heart of the city centre, just accross the city-hall and Parlament, surrounded by Kalemegdan and Tasmajdan Park, within easy walking distance of the biggest city squares, all major embassies, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and clubs. By its location and offer, the hotel is suitable and popular for both, business and leasure travelers, who are passing through or have a short stop in Belgrade. All rooms include a bathroom, cable TV, direct phone line, wireless internet is available free of charge. The hotel also includes a restaurant with up to 100 seats. Hotel Excelsior Belgrade opened on March 14th 1924. Due to historical and political occurences the hotel was used for many different things. During World War II it housed the German General Staff, and from 1945 – 1948 it was used to accommodate the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It was only returned to it's original function in 1948 when it changed ownership, from private hands to the to an ownership by the employees. The hotel has been privatized in February 2008. During the time it has been in operation, the Hotel Excelsior Belgrade has been characterized by a tradition of excellence and good service. Before World War II it hosted many celebreties and respectable guests, starting with Josephine Baker, foreign and domestic states men, politicians and others. The hotel was also used for lengthier stays by many famous authors (Ivo Andrić, Miloš Crnjanski, Vasko Popa), presidents of states and governments, princes and princesses, famous athletes, actors, singers and other figures in the public eye.

The Hotel Excelsior Belgrade is located in the very heart of the city centre, just accross the city-hall and parlament, 10 minutes from the train station and 20 minutes from the airport.
